Ifá school · Odù 16
Òfún Méjì
['II', 'I', 'II', 'I']
White cloth. Completion. The elder Odù.
The last of the sixteen. Ọbàtálá and Òrúnmìlà close the circle. Purity, age, the full book.
When the sixteen have been named. When a sitting ends in thanks.
Òfún completes the alphabet of Ifá. Alternate closed and open — the inverse of Ọ̀ṣẹ́. Teach ẹ̀mí (spirit), ìwà rere, aṣọ funfun. A learner who can name all sixteen Méjì has the keys to 256. The rest is a lifetime with a babaláwo. The school stops at the door and bows.
