All mouths open. Dawn. The first Odù — life unfolding without a block.

Taught first. Used when a sitting starts, a child is named, or a path is new.

Ogbè is the open road. In language class it is the greeting: ẹ káàrọ̀, the first ọmọ, the first yes. Do not rush it. Plenty is not noise; it is a clear line. The verse-house of Ogbè speaks of coming out into day. Learn the four open marks by drawing them. Say the name twice: Èjì Ogbè — two Ogbè, the double of light.
